The QA1 5Q Series shocks, formerly known as the 51 and 53 Series, offer a robust solution for racing applications requiring a large body steel shock. Available in both bearing mount and stock mount configurations, these shocks are designed to meet a variety of rules and application needs. Choose from 7 and 9 bearing mount bodies or various stock-mounted lengths, with options for rebound-adjustable piston rods to fine-tune valving at the track.

Built for superior performance, the 5Q Series shocks feature a black zinc coating that ensures a consistent finish, creating a tight seal every time. The scalloped base loop is engineered to provide increased clearance in tight areas like upper control arms and shock mounts, while high-quality raw aluminum pistons minimize variations that can occur with anodized parts. The shocks can be fine-tuned with bleed shims or by drilling out bleeds, allowing for maximum tunability to suit specific racing conditions.

Designed with racers in mind, the 5Q Series shocks are easily re-valveable and rebuildable in just minutes using basic tools. The two-piece body design simplifies disassembly and reassembly, while the gland features relief cuts and a hyper screw port, making the shocks easy to fill and bleed during assembly. An upgraded seal kit minimizes leaks, especially in high-rebound applications, and the slip-fit compression tube design further simplifies the rebuild process.

Each 5Q shock is equipped with a laser-engraved, black-anodized closure nut, making serial numbers and valving easy to read at the track or in the shop. These steel body shocks are also coil-over compatible when paired with the appropriate kits (sold separately), providing versatility for various setups.
